Description Of The Chairman's Amendment In The Nature Of A Substitute To H.R. 517, The “Filing Relief For Natural Disasters Act”
On February 26, 2025, the House Committee on Ways and Means will hold a legislative markup of H.R. 517, the “Filing Relief for Natural Disasters Act,” H.R. 1491, the “Disaster Related Extension of Deadlines Act,” and H.J. Res. 25, a Joint Resolution Disapproving of the Rule Promulgated by the Department of the Treasury relating to “Gross Proceeds Reporting by Brokers That Regularly Provide Services Effectuating Digital Asset Sales. The staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation provides descriptions of the Chairman’s amendment in the nature of a substitute to H.R. 517 and H.R. 1491.
